Closing the gap creates opportunities for all learners.

We are committed to finding innovative, long-term ways to close the achievement gap for all learners in our community, in spite of the challenges. We support policies and organizations that provide voice and representation within school systems to groups like immigrant and refugee communities and people of color who have traditionally been underrepresented in leadership. We also encourage innovation in public school designs that meet the needs of 21st century learners, particularly those that increase academic outcomes for students in high-poverty communities and communities of color and in reducing socioeconomic and racial disparities.

We have helped to create and nurture organizations, partnerships and coalitions that are critical to this work, including:

TEACH Colorado

Teacher-Informed Solutions on Performance Evaluation

Teacher Tech Mini Grants

We work in partnership with other funders and groups to share and develop successful innovations, so that school systems can build a community where opportunity is equally available to all students.
