Vaccine Equity and Access

We are committed to supporting equitable COVID-19 vaccine administration in the Greater Denver region. The Foundation has funded several efforts to increase access to the vaccine, specifically in communities that are experiencing barriers to access and/or have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic. COVID-19 Grantmaking

Recognizing the enormous impact of COVID-19, the Foundation committed the bulk of its 2020 grantmaking resources toward a multi-phased, equity-focused response to the pandemic.

Phase 1: In April 2020, the Foundation awarded over 120 grants totaling $1.7 million in its first phase of COVID-19 grantmaking. Read about that grantmaking here. Below is the full list of grantees:

  • Colorado COVID Relief Fund

    • Recognizing the importance of coordination and the need to raise significant dollars, Rose Community Foundation contributed $100,000 to help Governor Polis launch a statewide fund to address the most acute community needs across the state by supporting the prevention, impact and recovery needs of community-based organizations in Colorado.

Phase 2: In June, the Foundation and its fundholders awarded 395 grants totaling $4.1 million in its second phase of COVID-19 grantmaking. Read about that grantmaking here. Below is the full list of grantees.
