Judy Altenberg is a native Denverite and has been involved with Rose Community Foundation since 2007. She is currently a Foundation trustee, chair of the Foundation's Jewish Life Committee, and a member of the Foundation's Board Development Committee. She is the immediate past chair of the Jewish Women’s Philanthropy Center of the Allied Jewish Federation (now JEWISHcolorado). She is also a vice chair of the board and a trustee of National Women’s Philanthropy of the Jewish Federations of North America. She has chaired several fundraising divisions within her local Federation, and is an alumna of the United Jewish Communities’ National Young Leadership Cabinet where she held several positions. She is a 2010 graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program, an intensive two-year program of Jewish leadership and learning.
Ms. Altenberg has been involved in several political campaigns, as well as many educational committees on both the state and local levels, and at her children’s schools. She is the current vice chair of the Cherry Creek Schools Foundation board.
She loves to ski and bike in her spare time. Although trained as a lawyer, she is a stay-at-home parent with her two children, Jeremy and Gabrielle. Ms. Altenberg is married to Bruce Plotkin.
