Rose Community Foundation awards grants approved by our progam staff, program committee and Board of Trustees as well as donor-directed grants from fund holders, staff, trustees and committee members.
Our donors, individuals, families, private foundations, legacy donors and aligned funders, are our key partners for integrated impact in the community. In 2015, donor-directed grantmaking totaled $2.9 million and reflected a broad range of interests supported by Rose Community Foundation donors. These donor-directed gifts include: those recommended from funds held at the Foundation; matching gifts to qualified charities that received personal contributions from the Foundation’s trustees, committee members and staff; and discretionary grants.
Program Area Grants
The founding trustees of Rose Community Foundation believed, as we do now, that by providing innovative leadership through the program areas of Aging, Child and Family Development, Education, Health and Jewish Life, and our Opportunities and Innovation Fund we could address and begin solving community challenges. Connecting and integrating donors and other influential funders to our program area work strengthens our influence and ability to affect positive change. In 2015, program area grantmaking totaled $8,711,741.
