Rose Youth Foundation (RYF) is excited to welcome the members of our 25th anniversary RYF cohort. RYF brings together Jewish teens from across the Greater Denver community to learn about philanthropy, explore community needs and make a meaningful difference through collective giving. Through the program, participants build leadership skills, develop relationships across schools and communities and learn how Jewish values can guide thoughtful and effective grantmaking.
Throughout the program, members will engage in a hands-on philanthropic process that includes learning from nonprofit and community leaders, examining pressing issues facing the region and working together to allocate grant funding. Along the way, participants will deepen their understanding of Jewish values, leadership and civic engagement while developing skills they can carry into college, careers and communal life.
Representing 13 schools from across the Denver and Boulder metro area, this cohort brings together a wide range of experiences, perspectives and interests. Through learning, discussion and collaboration, members will explore how philanthropy can address community challenges and strengthen the region for future generations.
In addition to welcoming a new cohort, two student interns who help support the program throughout the year were selected for a prestigious paid internship after participating in the 2025-26 Rose Youth Foundation cohort.
Rose Youth Foundation interns work alongside Rose Community Foundation staff to help shape the cohort experience. Their responsibilities include assisting with agenda development, facilitating portions of programming, serving as peer resources for cohort members and helping foster an inclusive, engaging learning environment. Drawing on their own experiences as participants, they model the values of teen philanthropy, leadership and community engagement while supporting the next generation of Jewish changemakers.
Over the coming months, cohort members will participate in educational workshops, connect with nonprofit organizations and community leaders, conduct site visits and evaluate funding opportunities. Together, they will work toward making thoughtful grantmaking decisions that reflect both community needs and the Jewish values at the heart of the program.
We look forward to following the 2026-27 Rose Youth Foundation cohort as they learn and make an impact together. Applications for the 2027-28 cohort will be available on the Foundation website in spring of 2027.
