Caron Blau Rothstein serves as Jewish Life Program Director at Rose Community Foundation, where she helps advance a vibrant, inclusive and engaged Jewish community across the Denver–Boulder region. A seasoned Jewish communal professional, Caron brings more than 30 years of experience in strategic planning, grantmaking and community building. 

Before joining the Foundation in June 2026, Caron spent 15 years with the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland, most recently as Chief Planning and Engagement Officer. In that role, she oversaw annual grantmaking, led major community initiatives such as the Jewish Community Demographic Study and guided engagement across diverse populations. She also played a key leadership role in the capital campaign, construction and launch of Rachel’s Well Community Mikvah. Earlier work also included launching the Jewish Free Loan of Oregon, managing PJ Library Portland and supporting community newcomers. 

Caron’s broader professional background includes roles with Congregation Neveh Shalom, Yatom: The Jewish Foster & Adoption Network and leadership positions in Baltimore, where she founded Jewish Volunteer Connection. 

A Wexner Graduate Fellowship alumna, Caron is an active volunteer and community leader. She holds degrees from the University of California San Diego, Baltimore Hebrew University, and the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Social Work, along with a certificate in Jewish Communal Service. She and husband Ari have three young adult sons, one daughter-in-law and one rambunctious little rescue pup.
