Kristy spent the last 17 years at the Denver Art Museum in ascending communications roles, most recently as the Museum’s Senior Director of Communications and Public Affairs where she managed a team of five responsible for internal, external and crisis communications; media relations, storytelling, community engagement, messaging to support fundraising, public affairs, and more. Prior to the Denver Art Museum, Kristy worked as a Senior Communications Counselor at Peter Webb Public Relations leading media and visibility campaigns for a variety of organizational clients. She began her career as a reporter at The Aspen Times, Colorado Springs Gazette and Wireless Week. Kristy has served on the board of the Golden Triangle Creative District since 2017, including a stint as board chair, and from 2015-2024, she served on the board of The Collaborative of the SCFD, a nonprofit membership organization comprised of organizations funded by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English with an environmental policy minor from University of Florida and a master’s in journalism and mass communications from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
