Communications and Outreach Associate
Ray Barrie-Kivel joined Rose Community Foundation in September 2019. In his role as communications and outreach associate, Barrie-Kivel supports and implements the strategy of the communications team and works closely with leadership, grantmaking and philanthropic staff to highlight the Foundation’s community impact.
Barrie-Kivel has prior experience working on Colorado gubernatorial, state house and city council political campaigns. He also served as a congressional intern on Capitol Hill and completed an internship with Emerson Collective, a social change organization that uses philanthropy, impact investing, and policy solutions to renew some of society’s most calcified systems.
Barrie-Kivel is a native of Oakland, California and holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Colorado College. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, listening to podcasts, rooting for his favorite Bay Area sports teams and exploring Denver with his friends and family.
