Ashley Ambrose serves as the Health Program Director at Rose Community Foundation, where she works to improve health outcomes for communities in Greater Denver and beyond. With more than 15 years of experience spanning philanthropy, public health and community-based health systems, Ashley is passionate about partnering with communities to turn bold ideas into meaningful, lasting change.
Before joining the Foundation, Ashley served as Deputy Director of Health Equity at the Clinton Global Initiative, where she developed strategy and oversaw a portfolio of more than 50 Commitments to Action to advance health equity solutions across the U.S. and globally. As part of this role, she also served as a founding member of the Coalition for Mental Health Investment and the Action Network on Architecting a Thriving Digital Future for Youth, helping build collaborative approaches to support investments in health and wellbeing.
Earlier in her career, Ashley worked in communities across Colorado as a program manager at CPC Community Health. Her work included managing statewide cardiovascular and behavioral health initiatives, developing collaboration and training opportunities for community health workers (CHW) and partnering with public health departments to build capacity and sustainability.
Across her career, she has worked at the confluence of strategy, grantmaking and community engagement, helping organizations assess opportunities, steward investments and build strong relationships that translate vision into impact.
Ashley’s professional experience also includes roles with the Pan American Health Organization, World Health Organization, Concern Worldwide and other global health organizations. She holds a Master of Public Health in Global Health Program Design, Monitoring and Evaluation from George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Studies and Spanish from the University of Michigan. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
