Rose Community Foundation Announces New Trustees and Committee Members

(DENVER) Rose Community Foundation announces the addition of three new trustees, the establishment of a new Impact Investing Committee, and the onboarding of several new committee members in 2025.

Board of Trustees

The three new members joining the Board of Trustees are: Katherina Archuleta, David Foster and Leslie Sidell.

Katherine Archuleta is a seasoned public servant whose remarkable career has been defined by a deep commitment to helping others. She began her career in public service as a schoolteacher in Denver Public Schools and worked as a senior leader in local government for Denver Mayors Federico Peña and John Hickenlooper. Her influence expanded to the national stage, where she held key positions in the Clinton administration at the Departments of Transportation and Energy, and later served as Chief of Staff to Labor Secretary Hilda Solis during President Obama’s first term. In 2012, Katherine joined President Obama’s re-election campaign as the National Political Director and in 2013 made history as the first Latina to lead the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. She is a founding mother of Mi Casa Resource Center, The Latina Initiative and The Women’s Foundation of Colorado.  Katherine currently sits on the boards of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority, Conservation Colorado, and Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains Action Fund and is a member of Rose Community Foundation’s Policy & Advocacy Committee. In recognition of her contributions, Katherine was inducted into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame in 2020.

David Foster is co-managing partner of the law firm Foster Graham Milstein & Calisher, LLP, where his legal practice focuses on land use and real estate development matters. David is also involved with governmental affairs both at the local and state level. He learned at an early age that his faith and family encouraged Tikkun Olam (“repairing the world”), so in addition to his work, David has been involved with many different charitable and civic causes and organizations in varying leadership roles, including:  Temple Emanuel’s Shwayder Camp, Denver Jewish Day School, George Washington High School IB Foundation, Rose Community Foundation’s Jewish Life Committee (2007-2012), Civic Center Conservancy, JEWISHcolorado, Cherry Creek Area Business Alliance and many others. David has been honored as a “5280 Top Lawyer” for the past four years, beginning in 2019. In addition to this recognition, he has received numerous prestigious awards, including Denver Jewish Day School’s Neshamah Yeteirah Award, the Denver Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, ADL’s Torch of Liberty Award,  JEWISHcolorado’s Young Leadership Award, and the Colorado Statesman’s 50 for the Future, among others.

Leslie Sidell is a dedicated community leader with a passion for nonprofit leadership, bringing more than 25 years of experience in national and local not-for-profit leadership roles. Currently in her seventh year on the Foundation’s Jewish Life committee, Leslie also serves as a national board member of PRIZMAH: Center for Jewish Day Schools and chairs its governance committee. She is a past chair of the Denver Jewish Day School board of trustees and the past treasurer of the national board of Sharsheret, an organization providing support, education and community to Jewish women facing breast and/or ovarian cancer. Leslie has also chaired the Colorado Agency for Jewish Education, held board positions with the Jewish Community Foundation, and contributed to scores of committees at JEWISHColorado. Nationally, she has held leadership positions in Jewish Federations of North America National Women’s Philanthropy, including co-chairing the International Lion of Judah Conference, is an alumnus of JFNA’s National Young Leadership Cabinet, and is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program. Beyond her nonprofit work, Leslie is passionate about local and statewide politics, leveraging her leadership to drive meaningful change in her community. She holds an MBA from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree from Boston University.

“We are grateful and excited to welcome Katherine, David and Leslie to Rose Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees,” says President & CEO Lindy Eichenbaum Lent. “Their longstanding and varied connections to the Foundation and its work, combined with their diverse areas of expertise and deep community connections, make them invaluable partners in advancing the mission of the Rose Community Foundation.”
