Michael Touff recently retired as senior vice president and general counsel of M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. (MDC), a Denver-based New York Stock Exchange listed homebuilder. MDC builds and sells single family homes throughout the United States. Prior to joining MDC, he practiced law in Denver with Ireland, Stapleton, Pryor & Pascoe and with Holmes & Starr.
Michael has been a trustee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver since 1980 and is a board member of the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network and the Bell Policy Center. He has served as a trustee of a number of community nonprofits including most recently, the MDC/Richmond American Homes Foundation. He is currently a member of the Foundation’s Audit Committee and served as a member of the Education Committee.
Michael is a product of Denver’s public schools. He is a graduate of Harvard College, served in the Peace Corps in Thailand, attended the London School of Economics and Political Science, served in the U.S. Army in Korea and earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
He and his wife Pegi have two adult children, Daniel and Katherine.
