Burnham Yard Community Fund

Launched in December 2025, the Burnham Yard Community Fund supports La Alma Lincoln Park neighbors as they seek to negotiate an effective Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) with developers of the new stadium project.

A CBA is a legal agreement between developers and the community. The process empowers surrounding community organizations and residents to advocate around the unique social and economic opportunities of the project, ensuring that the development reflects the neighborhood’s needs and priorities.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who can contriute to the Burnham Yard Community Fund?

Anyone – individuals, organizations and businesses – can donate. Donations will be used for grants that support local nonprofits helping engage community voices and access expert support to negotiate a fair CBA.

Giving through Rose Community Foundation ensures transparency and prevents any perception of donor influence. Donors will be listed on the Rose Community Foundation website, unless they choose to remain anonymous. You may also donate directly to La Alma Lincoln Park Neighborhood Association, but donating to the Burnham Yard Community Fund is an impartial option.

Neighborhood associations are typically volunteer-led, and community-based nonprofits often have limited resources. This fund will cover costs for legal advice, facilitators, land-use experts, and experienced consultants—resources that level the playing field and help residents secure meaningful benefits. The fund will support expenses that help remove barriers for community participation in the negotiation process.

Rose Community Foundation has supported community-driven solutions for more than 30 years. All donations to the Burnham Yard Community Fund go directly to grants that help neighborhood organizations and residents. A modest 2% fee covers Foundation staff time and operational costs.

Rose Community Foundation manages the fund and makes grant decisions based on community needs. The Foundation has a proven track record of supporting successful CBAs in Greater Denver, including Park Hill Golf Course, Ball Arena development, and the new stadium for Denver’s National Women’s Soccer League team.

The Foundation is a trusted resource on community issues. Donors trust us to make good decisions in support of Greater Denver’s neighborhoods and how to navigate catalytic developments to the benefit of their residents.

Donors to the Burnham Yard Community Fund support the process—not the outcome. Rose Community Foundation makes funding decisions independently, ensuring donations help residents while avoiding actual or perceived conflicts of interest.

The Foundation’s role is limited to administering the fund and issuing grants in support of neighborhood organizations and the residents they serve. It does not participate in negotiations or dictate CBA terms.
