Rose Community Foundation Names Two New Directors Completing Communications Department

Jennifer Moe and Beckett Stokes join the Foundation with more than 15 years of communications, strategic marketing and public relations expertise

Denver, CO – Rose Community Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of two new directors in its communications department, Jennifer Moe and Beckett Stokes. The new directors will streamline communications and marketing processes and widen the Foundation’s reach throughout the Greater Denver community.

Jennifer Moe has been named director of marketing and public relations, helping to broaden the Foundation’s brand identity and external presence. In this role, Ms. Moe will develop and disseminate marketing materials, assist in development of brand and messaging platforms, and coordinate media relations and advertising efforts.

Previously, Ms. Moe worked at Donor Alliance serving as the director of communications and public relations for more than seven years, more recently as communications outreach coordinator. She helped increase Colorado’s donor designation rate (the rate at which people say yes to donation when receiving or renewing their driver’s license or ID card) from 58% in 2005 to over 68% currently.

Prior to joining Donor Alliance, Jennifer worked for LeGrand Hart as a senior associate representing the organization through a full-service public relations agency after beginning her career at Syngenta, a leading global agribusiness, in Basel, Switzerland.

Beckett Stokes has been named director of communications, overseeing strategic communications related to grantmaking, philanthropic services and program initiatives. Ms. Stokes will work to develop brand and messaging platforms, and support communication with Rose Community Foundation’s large network of stakeholders including Trustees, committee members, grantees, donors fund holders and partners.

Prior to joining Rose Community Foundation, Ms. Stokes spent nine years serving as the director of communications for The Episcopal Diocese of Colorado, one of the largest dioceses in the Episcopal Church. In this role she ensured that internal and stakeholder communications were coordinated and strategically linked to external communications and media relations. She was also responsible for social media and several other initiatives.

Before joining the Diocese of Colorado, Ms. Stokes worked in a variety of positions including product development and marketing in the emerging email marketing business, franchise marketing support and public relations.

“We are thrilled to have both Jennifer and Beckett join Rose Community Foundation’s communications department,” says Sheila Bugdanowitz, president and CEO. “Their expertise serving Denver’s diverse communities will be a tremendous asset to the Foundation as we strategically align our communications efforts to accomplish our mission in the Greater Denver community.”
