Rose Community Foundation has endorsed 10 bills that have been or will soon be introduced during Colorado’s current state legislative session. Our positions are grounded in the Foundation’s values and longstanding organizational history of advancing mission-aligned policy efforts, and they are guided by our strategic goals of creating more equitable and just systems and increasing resources devoted to public good in Greater Denver.

The endorsements are informed by those in our region who are furthest from opportunity and the organizations that support them. The Foundation is proud to help fund the dynamic work of policy-focused community-oriented nonprofits, many of whom are leading diverse coalitions advancing critical legislative efforts that address systemic barriers to equity, justice, inclusion and engagement.
“We are grateful to learn from and align our strategy and action with the efforts of our policy and advocacy grantees and other community-informed organizations and individuals,” says Sarah Kurz, Rose Community Foundation’s vice president of public affairs. “These partners are on the forefront of developing solutions and building coalitions that improve policy outcomes for those we collectively aim to serve.”
To fully recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, our community must commit to addressing disparities and cultivating a fairer and more inclusive Colorado that gives every person the chance to thrive. The bills we are endorsing crosscut a wide range of issue areas – from affordable housing and economic opportunity to health and education – but each aims squarely at improving outcomes and closing gaps for individuals facing the greatest barriers to opportunity.
