Rose Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for four open funding opportunities as part of the 2022 grantmaking cycles. While each funding opportunity is designed to address different community needs, all are guided by the Foundation’s mission of advancing inclusive, engaged and equitable Greater Denver communities through values-driven philanthropy.
Social-emotional learning in education
These grants will support programs or projects that seek to build a culture of social-emotional learning and that equitably integrate efforts to strengthen social and emotional needs and academic learning for students PreK-12, addressing adult mindsets and skills as well as school and district policies. Both direct services and policy and advocacy work in this space will be considered.
Grant amounts may range between $25,000 to $100,000. Funding amounts will be determined based on the program or project budget, number of staff engaged, and number of students impacted. Letters of Intent are due by 5 p.m. on May 16. If invited, applications are due on June 28.
Jewish Life
Grants will support organizations and programs that are reflective of Greater Denver’s Jewish communities and offer meaningful and relevant opportunities to engage in Jewish life, while welcoming diverse individuals, families and practices.
Grant requests should not exceed 15% of the current year’s operating budget. If you have never received a grant from Rose Community Foundation’s Jewish Life program area, or if you have not received funding from the Jewish Life program area since 2016, please note that your organization is eligible to apply only for project/program support of up to $25,000. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on May 9.
Nonpartisan voter participation and engagement
Grants will support efforts advancing nonpartisan voter participation, turnout and education in the 2022 Colorado election, prioritizing projects that engage historically disenfranchised populations, to help build a base for strong and inclusive civic engagement in the seven-county Greater Denver region. Voter education for specific ballot issues or other electoral efforts will not be considered. Grant amounts will typically range between $10,000 and $30,000. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received through September 1.
Civic participation through arts and culture
These grants will support individual events and programming that promote a strong sense of community and reconnection after two years of pandemic-related separation and social division, encourage participation in civic life through arts and culture, and/or promote inclusion and belonging in the Greater Denver region – prioritizing diverse and underrepresented communities.
Events and programming that can demonstrate a deeper impact and/or larger scope of work will be considered for grants in the $10,000 range; we expect the majority of grants to be around or below $5,000. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received through December 1.
