Mini-grants put Roots & Branches alumni in the driver’s seat, providing funds for alumni to create a meaningful Jewish and/or philanthropic experience for the Roots & Branches community and their friends and family.
Past projects include an at home challah baking workshop, Shabbat celebration, a Kevah Jewish learning group, a service project rooted in Jewish giving.
The next cycle of mini-grants will begin in Fall 2017, please check back then for more information.
Board and Committee Connections
Throughout the Roots & Branches core program, participants learn the ins and outs of nonprofit operations, strategic philanthropy, community engagement and Jewish values. Continue to serve your community after the core program by serving on a nonprofit board or committee.
Alumni, if you would like to be connected to board or committee opportunities, please email Emily Kornhauser at email@example.com with your bio, resume and interests.
If you work for a nonprofit organization that seeks talented, younger candidates for possible board or committee service, please reach out to Emily Kornhauser at firstname.lastname@example.org with the skills and characteristics you are looking for, as well as your organization’s mission and a brief description of the board or committee position(s) you seek to fill.
Continue your collaborative, Jewish giving journey by launching your own giving circle.
In partnership with Amplifier Giving, we offer training and support to Roots & Branches alumni to lead their own giving circles. Our support includes a framework for meetings, facilitation training, tools to help you lead conversations about Jewish giving and philanthropy, ongoing coaching, targeted matching grants and the option to create a Giving Circle Fund at Rose Community Foundation to house your grantmaking dollars.
If you are interested in learning more about starting your own giving circle, contact Emily Kornhauser at email@example.com.
