Tobey Borus was born and raised in Los Angeles. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Williams College. In addition to teaching in the inner city, Tobey spent several years researching and studying psychology, earning a master’s degree at Boston University. Tobey moved to Denver in 2005. She was a member of Roots & Branches Foundation at Rose Community Foundation and is currently a member of Rose Community Foundation’s Jewish Life Committee.
She is currently a full-time mother to her four-year-old son, Ronan, and two-year-old daughter, Poppy. Though she still enjoys reading and writing in her spare time – a product of the many years spent indoors while living in the cold, gray climates of the Northeast – she is thrilled that Colorado has given her the opportunity to venture outside and she now enjoys hiking, running and snowshoeing.
