As Rose Community Foundation transitioned away from its historic funding areas and began operationalizing its new strategic plan in the first half of 2020, it made proactive grants to longstanding grantees that might have been adversely affected by a gap in funding. These grants provided unsolicited, unrestricted dollars to nonprofit partners at a critical moment, as the COVID-19 pandemic began impacting the local nonprofit sector and the communities it serves.
