Jewish Life COVID-19 Grant Opportunity (Phase 3)

Proposal deadline: Friday, October 30

Grants will be structured as general operating or programmatic grants, at the request of the applicant, with all funds to be used for the organization’s stated response to COVID-19 or its impact on the communities served. Grant awards will be up to 15% of the organization’s operating budget and will be for a period of twelve months, December 1, 2020 – November 30, 2021.

      • Sustaining and rebuilding ritual/communal life.

  • Applicant Eligibility Requirements

      • Applicants must meet one of the following three requirements:
        • Past or present Jewish Life grantee.
        • Live On | LIFE & LEGACY participant or Endowment Challenge participant.
        • Past Jewish Life initiative participant (i.e. BUILDing Jewish ECE participants, organizations/agencies that participated in the Endowment Challenge or one or more phases of Live On: Build Your Jewish Legacy).
      • Applicants must be a nonprofit organization, school, or other tax-exempt organization in the seven-county Greater Denver region: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties. Unincorporated organizations, groups, and initiatives may apply but must have a tax-exempt fiscal sponsor. Priority will be given to organizations who have been most impacted be COVID-19 either because of increased demand for services and/or decreased revenue.

      • Organizations who were awarded funds in the first round of Jewish Life COVID-19 impact mitigation grantmaking are not eligible to apply. Organizations who applied in round one but did not receive funding are eligible to reapply. Please contact to discuss your grant proposal before you begin an application.

There will be no additional open community grantmaking funding opportunities in 2020. Our last COVID-19 opportunity of 2020 will be invitation-only. While no timeline has been established yet, we will be announcing 2021 opportunities via our website and social media.
