How Rose Community Foundation Works: The Grantmaking Program |
||||||||||||
|
Our proposal submission requirements changed on January 1, 2010. We no longer accept the Colorado Common Grant Application.Rose Community Foundation awards grants to organizations, projects and initiatives that support our mission and program priorities in the areas of Aging, Child and Family Development, Education, Health and Jewish Life. These programs are described in detail on the pages that follow. We recognize that there may be overlaps among these program areas. However, proposals that correspond to one program area's highest priorities are more likely to be funded than proposals that marginally address several priorities. Each program area has its own approach to grantmaking, and employs different strategies to address its priorities. From time to time, the Foundation may initiate a special grant program and/or request for proposals. In all of our grantmaking, we strive to support projects that reflect Rose Community Foundation’s core values: social justice and nondiscrimination; strengthening the nonprofit sector; and supporting innovative approaches to community issues. Each year, the Foundation dedicates a small portion of its grantmaking budget to the Opportunities and Innovation Fund, which considers a limited number of proposals for projects that exclusively address these values. We encourage you to contact the Foundation’s program staff before submitting a grant request, and to check the Rose Community Foundation website for any special programs or staff contact information. |
