Rose Community Foundation President and CEO Sheila Bugdanowitz to Accept Several Awards from Denver Organizations

Denver, CO—Sheila Bugdanowitz, president and CEO of Rose Community Foundation, will accept several awards from Denver-based organizations honoring her professional and personal achievements and accomplishments. This includes acceptance of an award on behalf of Rose Community Foundation.

Today, Sheila will accept the Outstanding Professional in Philanthropy (Grantmaking category) award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals at the Colorado National Philanthropy Day luncheon. The annual state-wide event honors twelve outstanding individuals and organizations for their commitment to philanthropy. It is a day set aside nationwide each November, to recognize the thousands of generous people and organizations who donate their time, talent and financial resources to worthy causes. Over 800 community members are expected to attend the Colorado event.

“I am grateful to be accepting the Outstanding Professional in Philanthropy award today,” said Sheila Bugdanowitz, president and CEO of Rose Community Foundation. “As I reflect on the past 15 years, I feel fortunate to have been a part of Rose Community Foundation. Today’s recognition would not be possible without each of the individuals who have worked alongside me to achieve our mission for the Greater Denver community.”

On December 4, Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS) will honor Sheila at its longest-running fundraiser, Real Hope, at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Sheila will be accepting the 2014 Kal Zeff Business Leader of the Year award. Now in its 19th year, this fundraiser benefits all programs of JFS, including mental health counseling, senior and adult in-home care, disability and employment services and family safety net services.

“I am truly honored to be recognized by Jewish Family Service of Colorado, an organization near and dear to my heart. I have been directly touched by the services they provide – and continue to provide – for my family,” said Sheila Bugdanowitz. “I am inspired by JFS and the compassionate and caring way they impact so many lives.”

On November 20, Sheila will accept the Nonprofit Organization of the Year award from the Denver Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce at their 18th Annual Business Awards Dinner, on behalf of Rose Community Foundation. This gala helps support the community and those doing business in it. All silent auction proceeds will benefit Rose Community Foundation.
