Roots & Branches Foundation Seeks Proposals: Will Award $75,954

Denver, CO – The 18-member Roots & Branches Foundation, an initiative of Rose Community Foundation, is seeking grant proposals and will make grants totaling $75,954. Roots & Branches Foundation invites applications from nonprofit organizations serving Greater Denver and Boulder with programs or projects that address the following grant priorities:

  1. Training and education for middle skill jobs, specifically for unemployed or underemployed adults with children or other dependents, living below the Colorado self-sufficiency standard.
  2. Increasing access to nutritious, healthy food for people living below the Colorado self-sufficiency standard in food deserts, specifically families with children ages zero to five or older adults.

Roots & Branches Foundation members are a diverse group of Jewish people in their 20s and 30s. The members have been meeting since July to explore Jewish values and philanthropic traditions, work together to identify needs in the community, and learn about grantmaking approaches and strategies. Their grant priorities reflect their commitment to the Jewish ideals of ideals supporting those who need help in becoming self-sufficient and upholding the dignity of others.
