Mark Hockenberg, CPA, is the controller at Rose Community Foundation. In this role, he manages the Foundation’s accounting and investments.
Prior to joining Rose Community Foundation in 2011, Mr. Hockenberg was the chief financial officer at General Steel Corporation and the controller at Stewart and Stevenson, an oilfield services firm. He was an independent consultant to telecommunications companies, advising on tax, accounting and information technology for 17 years. Mr. Hockenberg spent three years in public accounting in the Chicago office of Arthur Andersen & Co.’s Management Information Consulting Division.
Mr. Hockenberg earned an M.B.A. in finance and accounting from Indiana University. He is a licensed certified public accountant in the state of Colorado.
Mr. Hockenberg’s community involvement includes serving as a board member of Denver Urban Gardens. He has also contributed more than 1,000 hours of service to the City of Lone Tree police department as a volunteer patrol officer.
